Love this movie. Love the series. I have a core memory of Chucky screaming βIβm going to get you, Andy!β. Makes me smile every time it pops in my head.
Great review! I remember seeing the VHS box of Childs Play 2 in the video rental store as a kid and being genuinely freaked out by it. I think I finally watched ended up watching the first couple movies as a teenager, but itβs been a good dozen years at least. Probably worth a revisit this month!
Sorry glad you had a good tune with you this. The rest of the film series is incredibly patchy - although also utterly fascinating as a social chronicle of trends in horror and social discourses around sexuality. I'm 100% a PhD could be written about them.
My apologies in advance π€£ from a social document perspective they'd incredible, but as movies... π€· They're not all bad, but that in itself is part of the wildness of them!
Tom Holland hahahah. But how that youβve watched this, you just watch the tv series!! Itβs just called Chucky. I loved it so much. One of the rare good tv series out there.
"Directed by Spider-Man" = itβs like you read my mind!
πππ·
Is it bad that I first watched a Chucky movie in elementary ππ ??
Nah, you just had very cool parents π€£
I saw loads I shouldn't have as well.

It was great fun, and an example of horror and comedy working well together. What's your favourite in the series?
Personal favorite is #3 βcause it was the first one I saw. You?
Well 1 is the only one I've seen! I'll review the others at some point though.
Love this film. When Andy sees Chucky from the barred window always freaked me out, and Andy crying in that room is heartbreaking!
Yes and yes π

Thanks! I was the same, saw his picture in the paper as a kid and it terrified me π
βPrrick!β
I just had to πππ

*So glad, not 'sorry glad'. Damn autoincorrect!
Oh, and I did notice Wormtongue π
Wow, I may have to watch them all now! πβ€οΈ

Lol why am I sceptical? π€π
Hahahha. Well itβs more fun. Itβs everything a Chucky fan would want. For a show, they donβt hold back at all on his kills haha
I think the new tv series nailed the tone of this original movie and highly recommend it!
Okay, that's two recommendations for the tv show, so I may have to watch it!
