Unfortunately I hear Vickers is going to be called away next week to sort out some sort of nightmare thatโs happening in the east end of Glasgow that needs urgently resolved ๐๐
My leg is jiggling and my fingers are twitching!! I love that we got a POV from the fauxra!! Scenes where drunken men behave like that always make me nervous, but I LOVE that I could read that without feeling worried for the 'woman'. I was genuinely on her side during that encounter... which I'm not sure is a particularly good thing ๐ I SO can't wait for the third installment!
Thank you! This story is sort-of a pilot. If it's popular then I'd consider a longer story set in Cinder Hollow, or maybe some shorter stories with a longer, over-arching story in thr background ๐คทโโ๏ธ
I just read "The Fauxra," and it was fascinating to get into the creature's head. I wonder if the hateful thing that almost killedh er is a cellphone? I'll wait and see. It was interesting how changed she was in this episode, but nonetheless DEADLY! Great.
Stephen, I just finished the "Ross" part of the new chapter, and I'll be eager to read "Fauxra," tomorrow. I love the way the story is developing. Vickers is an interesting character; he strikes me as someone who walks a very narrow ledge in life. I like that. You need a Vickers to go with Ross' sensibleness. I didn't understand why Vickers said, "Enough of your fairy tales," to Madame Hex, when it seems that she's just been telling him the history of this creature's doings.
I think this is a terrific story and I'm eager to read "The Fauxra" tomrrow..
Really enjoying this Stephen ๐๐ผ

He better bring his shotgun ๐

I loved writing her POVs! Funny how a different perspective can change how we feel eh?
Those two assholes got what they deserved ๐
Dude. You turning this into a full blown novel right?! Cuz daaayymmmm!!

I'll put you down as a yes ๐โค๏ธ
Oooo cool! Or really could include in a whole book of short stories! I actually lovev short stories over a whole novel. Less fluff.
Same! I'm actually dreading the fluff in my novel, might just skip all of it and have story move at 100mph ๐
Yeah Idk how to write fluff haha.
Really liked the addition of something from the creature's point of view. Enjoying this series.
Thanks Nick! I like to think that no one was expecting a POV from the Fauxra.

Thanks Sandy! The thing she referred to that almost killed her was Vickers' gun - remember he shot her in part 1?

Thanks Sandy! Vickers is something of a "reluctant believer" when it comes to the supernatural, hence his response.
Glad you're enjoying it, and I think you'll like the rest of this part ๐๐ป
I' m sure I will. The 'creature' is as elusive as the Alien in the first movie. GREAT!
Aliens was my favourite as a kid. Now that I'm older, I realise that Alien is best ๐๐ป
This is working really well, Stephen. Great pacing. Characters I can care about. Can't wait to see what happens next.
Thanks Lyndsey! ๐ค๐ค
Loved this. I really like the townโs eerie setting and hope that in the coming chapters we get to explore the town even more.
Thanks Arbaaz! There's more to be revealed for sure ๐๐ป
